Animal Rescue - Does this show how a society has compassion?

Throughout my career as a social worker, I heard that a society is judged by how it treats its elderly and young. But what about animals?

I recently heard of a group that rescues horses that have been used (and abused) by drug traffickers. I was so impressed by the work of this group that it helped me see the positive in our current society. And, I made a donation to help their work.

Casey Anthony Case - Guilty of What?

I just read information on the not guilty verdict in the Casey Anthony Case. It certainly was a convoluted situation but SOMEONE is guilty of SOMETHING, wouldn't you think?
