Make Money Online Scams

Times are hard. Everyone is looking for a way to make money either as extra income or as a full or part time job. Because there is a shortage of jobs and a high demand of people in need, there has been an increasing surge of online scams created to con innocent people out of their money and personal information.
For every legitimate online opportunity you will find that there are about ten that are not and therefore you have to learn to recognize the signs and steer clear of them so that you don’t end up worse off than you might already be. Below are the five most common schemes and scams found on the internet.

Get Rich Quick Scheme – While there are a lot of great resources out there, there are some that really just are not worth the investment. Any time you see eBooks video courses or any other form of promotional advice on how to get rich fast you should be leery. In most cases, consumers end up purchasing these products only to find out that the method did not work out well for them.

Pyramid Schemes – while there are some marketing methods that work out, if you notice a multi-level marketing pyramid that can go one for more than two levels you should really consider joining. Many times in order for you to make money your customer will have to pay much more for the product.

Affiliate Program Schemes – There are a lot of affiliate programs that claim to make their partners lots of money. The trick however is, that they ask you to purchase their products or services for yourself before you can start making money. You should not have to spend money to make money and therefore be on the lookout.

Counterfeit Check Schemes – If you’re looking to become a VA of some sort you’ve probably gotten lots of job offers claiming that you will make $500 per week or more for very basic tasks. The trick to these schemes are that the checks you are sent are fake and will cause your account to bounce if you’re not careful enough.

As you can see there are a lot of make money online scams that you have to be aware of. There are a few rules that you can keep in mind as you begin searching for ways to make money online: Don’t apply for a job that sounds too good to be true, don’t apply for jobs that require you to make a payment, and don’t accept any checks mailed to your personal address. While there is no sure way to prevent scams from happening to you, following these few rules will help you in making better decisions.
